Frequently Asked Questions

  • We have many fruits available for u-pick throughout different times of the season. Please check our u-pick page to see what’s in season before coming out. We ask our customers to please bring their own containers. Before you go out to pick, please bring your containers into the farm store (or out to the strawberry tent during the May/June strawberry season) and get your containers weighed ahead of time. We mark the tare weight before you pick so you aren’t charged for the weight of your containers at check out. U-pick fruit is charged by the pound. We provide maps for the fruits that aren’t as easy to find. If you are picking near the end of the day, please finish up by 15 minutes before closing time so we can get every customer taken care of before we close.

  • Dogs are allowed on the farm on a leash and picked up after.

  • Yes! Of course! Berry-picking is a wonderful activity for children. We have a playground available at the farm store as well where you can hang out with your kids when you’re done picking. Children should be supervised at all times for their own safety.

  • We are not a certified-organic farm. However, we like to incorporate many organic practices into our farming when possible (low tilling, crop covers and rotation, and composting to name a few). We only use sprays when absolutely necessary for our operation and classify ourselves as “low-spray”. Sometimes we source local organic produce to sell in our farm store. We are transparent about answering questions related to our farming practices so if you need any more information about your food, please don’t hesitate to contact us about specifics! Our other operation, Queener Farm in Scio, is a certified organic apple orchard. Visit the Queener website for more information.

  • We love standing with our fellow small business owners. We buy and sell produce from farmers we know personally, we offer pre-packaged frozen grass-fed meat from Oregon Valley Farm, we are a pick-up point for Oak Valley Farm’s raw milk herd-share, and we support local makers by selling or consigning their gifts and goods in our store.

  • We have pre-packaged baked goods made on-site and we serve up our homemade ice cream and milkshakes. There is fresh French-pressed coffee available by the cup every day. We also stock some snacks like beef sticks, jerky, chips, and candy. We have a large variety of cold beverages available in the store. We don’t serve ready-made meals (except during some special events).

  • We take cash, debit/credit card, apple pay, EBT, and the farm direct green vouchers (only for local produce until November 30). We no longer accept personal checks - we apologize for any inconvenience.

  • We have a single-use ADA accessible restroom directly across the breezeway from our farm store. During u-pick strawberry season there is a porta-potty with a hand washing station by the u-pick field. We will also sometimes bring in a porta-potty for other special large events.
